b. 21-22

composition: Op. 29, Impromptu in A♭ major

..

FE is lacking the dashes determining the crescendo's range, which is supposedly the engraver's oversight. Such errors were quite frequent in Chopin's first prints. Division of the word crescendo into syllables in EE is probably a revision of that edition (cf. bars 25-26), although such a notation can also be found in Chopin's autographs. The abbreviation cres used by Chopin was replaced by us with the currently adopted conventional abbreviation cresc.

b. 103-104

composition: Op. 29, Impromptu in A♭ major

..

In EE the indication crescendo was divided into 2 parts –probably due to the engraver's arbitrary decision. On the other hand, the lack of dashes in bar 104 may be concerned as an error and a significant oversight modifying the range of crescendo.
