b. 3

composition: Op. 24 No. 1, Mazurka in G minor

..

In GE2 (→GE3) a cautionary  was added before a1 on the last chord. That unjustified revision was probably done to imitate Chopin's signs in analogous bars 11, 51 and 59.

b. 3-4

composition: Op. 10 No 6, Etude in E♭ minor

..

Bar 3 in A (→FEGE1GE2GE3) repeats the  from the 1st half of the bar before in the 2nd half of it. The  before f in the 2nd half of bar 4 is similarly repeated. The unnecessary signs were removed in GE4 (→GE5). In analogous bars 11-12 and 43-44 the signs do not appear in any of the sources.

b. 3

composition: Op. 25 No 2, Etude in F minor

..

Chopin hesitated whether to put cautionary flats before d1 and d3. The signs are included in the earliest source (AT) and in the published version, including GC (→GE), FE and EE. In turn, in CDP there is only the second of them, while AW included the first one (in the L.H.), yet Chopin eventually deleted it. Despite this fact, in the main text we give exactly this , returned in the later sources and, according to us, justified.

b. 3

composition: Op. 26 No 1, Polonaise in C♯ minor

..

In A Chopin wrote an unnecessary cautionary  next to f. The sign was removed in all editions, however, in GE1 (→GE2) only partially, only in the repetition, whereas in GE3 (→GE4GE5) already in both places.
