b. 133

composition: Op. 12, Variations in B♭ major

..

In the sources the naturals to a2, e2 and a1 are missing. This patent inaccuracy is partly due to the conviction that accidentals at a given pitch are valid regardless of the presence or absence of an octave sign.

b. 133

composition: Op. 12, Variations in B♭ major

..

FE (→EE) has rittenuto instead of the correct ritenuto. GE gives the shortened form riten.

b. 134

composition: Op. 43, Tarantella

..

In A intitial b in LH in b. 86 (and in corresponding bars 102 and 134 as in the manuscripts repetitions of this phrase are not written out with notes) is notated slightly two low, so in FC3 we find a three times. This error was corrected in FE (→IE) (not too prescisely however as b was notated in bars 86 and 102, but not in b. 134). In b. 86 a found its way into GE1 (→GE2) (in GE3 changed into b).

e1 in EE, GC (→GE) & FE2

d1 in FE1

..

The minim d sharp1 that can be seen in FE1 is definitely erroneous, as we can conclude from the presence of e1 appearing consistently in all the remaining sources and the version of the analogous bar 142. The error was corrected in FE2.

b. 134-135

composition: Op. 39, Scherzo in C♯ minor

No tie to f in EE

f tied in GC (→GE) & FE

..

The omission to tie the crotchet f sharp in EE is probably an error  – cf. bars 142-143 and 150-151, in which the note is either tied or absent altogether.
