b. 45-57

composition: Op. 50 No. 3, Mazurka in C♯ minor

..

On the basis of AI one can see that Chopin hesitated whether to write the B major section (from b. 45) using a 4- or a 5-sharp key signature. It is proven by the following actions: a new key signature was added in b. 45 and 57, then the sharps of A and a1 were removed in both places, while the sharps before the a notes in b. 50 and 52 (as well as in 61 and 74) were crossed out and then reintroduced.

b. 49

JC has a cautionary  before the 4th semiquaver, a1. In the light of the currently binding rules, a sign in this position is superfluous.

b. 49

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt II

In FE (→GE1GE2), there is no accidental before the 4th demisemiquaver before last. The missing  must be a mistake in this context, probably repeated after [A], since such inaccuracies in the notation of accidentals are typical of Chopin. The sharp was added in EE and in GE3; in the latter, another defect of Chopin's notation was removed – the unnecessarily repeated  before ain the 3rd group of semiquavers. The sharp in the discussed place could have been added in FEH – see the adjacent note.

In A (→GE1FE) there is a totally unjustified  before the top note of the octave (d). In GE2 the superfluous sign was removed, while in EE was added also next to the bottom note.
