In GE1 the L.H. octaves in b. 261-264 are written down with the use of con 8a. In FE (→EE) it is also the 1st beat of b. 265 that was written down in this way. The abbreviation was expanded only in GE2.

b. 297-299

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt III

..

In FE (→GE1GE2), all octaves in the L.H. in bar 297 and the first two in bar 299 are written in an abbreviated manner (top notes with 8s under them). According to us, one of those digits – the last in bar 297 – was perhaps left by mistake, which is indicated by a comparison with analogous bar 69. However, we do not suggest that version here, since the entire Tutti shows numerous minor differences between the first and second time, whereas the aforementioned quaver is provided with a  mark in bar 297, which may be considered a justification of the sound enhanced with an octave.

..

In the sources the L.H. octaves are written down in an abridged manner – under the line of their top notes, a con 8va indication or its equivalent is placed:

We reproduce this notation, not very exact, only in the graphic transcription – we leave the determination of whether the indication applies only to the sequence of the bass voice and not to the bottom notes of the R.H. part to the judgement of the performer.
