It is difficult to say how the replacement of the slurs of A, natural in this context, with one whole-bar slur in GE1 (→FE→EE) occurred. One of the possibilities is Chopin's proofreading, but leaving accents on every second note results in the fact that the effect of the change of slurring is barely aurally perceptible. Therefore, in the main text we adopt the undoubtedly authentic slurs of A.
