Disruption of the regularity of the sequence of semiquavers in the version of FE is certainly a result of a mistake of the engraver, who instead of the correct notes repeated two previous ones (f1-b1). Chopin corrected it in FED. EE also includes the correct text, which proves the good intuition and courage of the reviser of this edition, since the mistake, no matter how obvious, when seeing the correct text of A (→GE), gives a version that is neither sonically striking nor pianistically inconvenient.
