Fingering written into FED

No teaching fingering

..

The fingering, written probably by a pupil, can come from Chopin.

b. 35-37

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt IV

g-g1 in GC (→GE) & FE (→EE1)

g-g1 suggested by the editors

g-g1 in EE2

..

In the majority of the sources there are no accidentals before the 5th quaver in bars 35-36 and 3rd quaver in bar 37, which means that both these notes and their repetitions are to be interpreted as g-g1. The naturals added in EE2 are an arbitrary revision, probably aiming at bringing these bars – as far as the sound is concerned – to the F minor key and its dominant chords c-e-g-b and e-g-b-d.
In the main text, in bar 35 we add cautionary flats before these notes.

b. 35

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt IV

..

The cautionary flats before the 1st quaver (d1(2)) were added in GE and EE2. In the main text we add flats also before the 3rd quaver b(1).

b. 37

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt IV

e-e1 in GC (→GE) & FE1 (→FE2EE)

f-f1 in FE3 (→FE4FE5)

..

The version with e-e1 may be Chopin's mistake, who in [A] introduced the naturals raising it to e-e1 four quavers too late. In any case, Chopin proofreading of FE3 undoubtedly determines both the sound of this quaver and its enharmonic notation.
