Bar 39 is the last one written out in notes in [AI] (→JC). A respective indication, the so-called segno, refers subsequently to bar 13. In PE, a similar abbreviation of notation appears two bars earlier, whereas in EF all the following fragments of the Polonaise are written out entirely.
