b. 5

composition: Op. 39, Scherzo in C♯ minor

..

Missing from GC is the  lowering G to G. The accidental was added in GE, the remaining sources also have it in place.

b. 14-15

composition: Op. 39, Scherzo in C♯ minor

..

The  lowering e1 to e flat is missing from both bars in GC and FE1. This obvious inaccuracy was corrected in GE and  FE2. The flat occurring in EE in bar 15 may also be part of the reviser's corrections (bar 14 in EE has no relevant note).

No e1 in EE

e1 in GC (→GE) and FE

The absence of the note e1 in this chord in EE is definitely an error.

b. 16

composition: Op. 39, Scherzo in C♯ minor

..

GC has here a mistaken chord e-f-a-c1-d1 (no ledger line above the two upper notes). The error was corrected in GE.

b. 29-45

composition: Op. 39, Scherzo in C♯ minor

..

Cautionary sharps before the octaves on the 2nd beat of bars 29 and 45 were certainly (GE) or most probably (EE) added by revisers. We include them in our main text, as we definitely find them justified.
