FE1 is based on a lost manuscript (autograph or copy). We may suspect that on the whole it faithfully represents the contents and graphic layout of the base text. The editor’s revisions – if at all made – were limited to a minimum. This, combined with careless proofreading, resulted in a large number of mistakes (e.g. in bars 30, 38, 48).
